In Alberta, the term accident benefits refers to the mandatory no-fault insurance coverage provided under Alberta’s automobile insurance policies. They offer compensation for medical expenses, income replacement, and other support services to individuals injured in motor vehicle accidents, regardless of who is at fault. Accident benefits are sometimes referred to as Section B Benefits (see SPF-1 Section B of your insurance policy).
