- We call on the personal injury experts in our injury law team as required to examine every aspect of your motor vehicle injury case
- We pay all the costs of expert reports
- We recover the costs of these reports from the at fault party’s insurer (with very few exceptions) only after you have received your settlement or judgement at trial.
Qualifications
Joseph A. Nagy Injury Law only uses personal injury experts who have been qualified by the Alberta Court of King’s Bench to testify in their respective capacities.
Here are some of our personal injury experts:

- An accident investigator can obtain witness statements to determine liability or fault in the personal injury claim resulting from your motor vehicle accident.
Accident Reconstruction Engineer
- An accident reconstruction engineer can obtain and preserve vital “black box” data from a vehicle to identify the vehicle’s travelling speed and braking before and at the time of impact, or confirm that you were wearing your seat belt at the time of your motor vehicle collision.
Biomechanical Engineer
- A biomechanical engineer can reconstruct how a persons body moved in a vehicle. This would be useful when a vehicle rolls or flips several times causing severe injury to an occupant that may not have worn a seat belt. More specifically, to determine if the failure to wear a seat belt contributed to injury.
Economist
- An economist can calculate your past loss of income and estimate your future loss of income or income earning capacity as a result of your motor vehicle injury.
Life Care Planner
- A life care planner works with clients that have sustained catastrophic injury or illness, to advocate for them and plan for care. Planning is undertaken by working with the client and the client’s family, insurance company, lawyers, medical team, and others to develop a future cost of care report and determine future needs, services, and expenses for care over the client’s lifetime.
Neurologist
- A neurologist can diagnose the nature and extent of brain and spinal cord injury.

Orthopedic Specialist
- A qualified orthopedic specialist can provide MRI referrals to identify the specific cause of your pain and the permanent impairment ratings resulting from your motor vehicle injury so we know whether your medical condition will improve, remain stable, or worsen over time.
Otolaryngologist
- An otolaryngologist (ENT) can establish if the dizziness you experience is related to an inner ear disturbance or vestibular dysfunction from a head impact caused by your motor vehicle accident.
Physiatrist
- A physiatrist can assess the severity of your chronic pain or provide opinion as to appropriate rehabilitative measures that mandate compensation for cost of future care for your personal injury.
Psychiatrist
- A psychiatrist (ENT) can assess the probability that specific mental conditions arose out of a physical injury (PTSD, depression, anxiety, personality disorder, and behavioural disorder) and the probability of its effects on your future academic or work performance.
Psychologist
- A psychologist can determine whether you have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder following your motor vehicle accident.
TMJ Specialist
- A TMJ specialist can tell whether the ringing in your ears or the clicking or popping noises or pain in your jaw result from temporomandibular joint dysfunction following your motor vehicle accident.
