A Statement of Claim is a document prepared by me (or your injury lawyer) and filed at Court to start a civil lawsuit following your motor vehicle accident. The Statement of Claim provides alleged facts and information about how the collision occurred, details your injuries and losses, and states the damages you are claiming as being caused by the actions of the defendant (the person who caused the accident).
