Joe has been practicing motor vehicle accident injury law for over 20 years. He is the owner of Joseph A. Nagy Injury Law in Edmonton, Alberta. He has been a member of the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association for his entire career. Joe is a sustaining member, and for the past three terms, is serving on the Board as member at large.
Joe has six successful published decisions under Section 581 of the Insurance Act, RSA 2000, c I-3. These are:

He has also been successful in obtaining 581 advances in many cases without bringing applications. He is the guru of Section 581 Applications in Alberta. Joe presented at a seminar for the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association in 2017 and is excited to provide an update on his experience and the law surrounding Section 581 advances today.
